EXPERIENCE OF
PEACE AND QUIET
This is a very special holiday in a very special place. If you enjoy
peace and quiet, good food, walking, wild life, flowers in abundance and
breathtaking scenery. Then this is your type of worry free holiday. |
There
are peaks of over 3,000 metres, mountain lakes and valleys lost in the
early morning mist. The area is visited by few and there are tracts of
unspoiled upland and forests that flow up from the valley floor, but the
most attractive valley in the area is considered to be the vallee D’Oueil,
where we live.
The walking in the area is as the French say "Exceptionnel".

Whether
it’s in the Spring when the hills are covered with wild flowers, such
as Daffodils, Gentians, and Primrose to name just a few. The Summer when
the days are warm, long and sunny, or Autumn, when the trees are cloaked
in their Autumnal colours and the stags' roars can be heard
echoing across the valley during the seasonal rut. Whichever season you choose, we are sure you
will enjoy walking and observing the wide variety of wildlife, including
a large number of birds of prey, in this most beautiful of
regions. |

The
walking in the area ranges from easy to difficult; the choice is yours.
Whatever your choice, Mike, experienced in this area, will advise and
show
you the places to walk. Accompanying you, if required. You need not
walk
alone. We walk straight out of the front door on to the mountains.

Returning
home; after a day in the mountains to afternoon tea, comfort, time to
relax curled up in front of the log fire, having an aperitif before
dinner, from our small bar.
We love this area and would like to show you the beauty and peace that
can be found. After those long hours stuck at work you owe it to
yourself to recharge your batteries; if you enjoy walking and the
outdoors, then there is no better way of achieving this aim. |
