WINTER
WALKING WITH SNOWSHOES
We walk straight out of the front
door on to the mountains.
To walk in and around our
beautiful valley d’Oueil is a very special experience. |

view the high mountains; many over 3000m, covered in fresh snow, to walk
snow covered ridges and through silent white forest. This, as the French,
say is "exceptionnel" and if you haven’t tried snowshoe
walking we are certain you will find it easy and fun to do. Mike,
experienced in this area, will advise and show you the places to go accompanying
you, so you don't walk alone. After a day in
the mountains return home to tea, coffee, biscuits, comfort and time to
relax curled up in front of the log fire, having an apéretif before
dinner from our small bar. |
| LOCATION
The small village of Cires (ht.
1250m/ 4100ft) approximately 10km north west of the old spa town of
Bagneres-de-Luchon in the Department of the Haute Garrone. The region is a
designated preservation area.
